JoVic Pottery

At the Island Estuary we often serve coffee in a rather eclectic selection of pottery. The mugs that never fail to catch people attention are the “Wizard Mugs” as they have been nicknamed. Our guest are often delighted to find that these are produced locally – Jo and Vic are a 10 minute drive away from us and well worth a visit and t produce a very unique products – coffee that becomes a work of art – now isn’t that a nice combination?

“Their functional stoneware line truly represents a blend of their talents. Vic does the bulk of their wheel-thrown work and Jo creates their slab-ware line; however, glazing and decorating of these pieces is shared. Jo especially enjoys doing the sgraffito carving that is part of their distinctive and colorful work. Functional stoneware is their “bread and butter” line. And they produce an impressive number of items, ranging from dinnerware to bowls, platters, mugs, goblets, pitchers, teapots, sushi ware, flower vases, ikebana pots and more.

While the functional line perfectly showcases Jo and Vic’s combined talents, both of them also continue to develop their individual skills, creating distinctly unique works of art.”

When folks want to visit we always give them a call and often you will find them both hard at work, but they are always friendly and always happy to talk about their passion.

If you are looking for more information, please email Jo or Vic at JoVic Pottery, and they will be happy to get back to you.
